Danfoss moves into factory in Grodzisk Mazowiecki
Developer Panattoni has finished the construction of a production and office complex in Grodzisk Mazowiecki for Danfoss, a Danish-based producer of refrigeration systems. Over the last 14 months, a production hall with an R&D facility has been constructed with an area of over 13,000 sq m. The new building has been built next to an existing production plant owned by Danfoss and the construction work took place without disrupting production. A total of 45 production lines have been relocated to the new plant from Kolding in Denmark. The new factory will provide jobs for around 400 people. The new factory includes numerous energy saving solutions including heat capture from the water chillers and air compressors. The recycled heat is used for hot water and to heat the production space. Heat pumps and electric boilers are also used during peak periods. The ventilation system also includes heat recuperation, and the roofs are strengthened for the installation of solar panels. The entire building is managed with an advanced BMS system. Danfoss Poland produces energy-efficient components for refrigeration, ventilation and heating units; it is also involved in the drive industry and in mobile machines. The company produces refrigeration technology for both retail and industrial use.
