DHL Parcel takes on cross dock space in Kostrzyn
DHL Parcel has already taken possession of a new cross dock centre of 9,000 sq m in Kostrzyn. The building was developed by Panattoni as a built to own project. The world leading logistics operator has an 8,000 sq m hall with a two-storey office section of almost 1,000 sq m. The building is equipped with a cross-belt system that can sort up to 7,500 parcels an hour. The property was purchased by DHL Parcel last year in December. The centre in Kostrzyn has been equipped with numerous environmentally friendly systems including a solar panel installation, electric vehicle charging stations and daylight sensors to control the outdoor lighting. Workers can make use of the centre’s cycling facilities while the site has no lack of greenery, with trees, bushes and flower meadows. The centre is located in Kostrzyn 20 km from the centre of Poznań and 30 km from Poznań Airport. It is 3.5 km from the Kostrzyn junction on the A2 motorway, where it also connects to the S5 expressway, which runs to Wrocław and Bydgoszcz. This is not the first development in the Wielkopolska region by Panattoni for the DHL group. The developer has already delivered a 105,000 sq m centre in Żerniki where the Supply Chain division runs the e-commerce operations for a giant of the clothing industry. Moreover, the developer has also completed two BTS buildings in the Warsaw area (in Pruszków and in Radzymin) with a combined area of 17,000 sq m. Looking for warehouse space in the area?
