Hillwood completes construction of Oleśnica logistics centre

Industrial space developer Hillwood Polska has completed a 53,000 sqm logistics centre near the town of Oleśnica, 30 km east of Wrocław. The complex has already been issued with an occupancy permit. Online furniture retailer Mirjan is one of the first tenants, having leased 22,000 sqm of warehouse space and around 600 sqm of offices in the new centre. The building is a high-storage warehouse with a ceiling height of 10m. It is lit by LED lighting and complies with some of the most stringent fire safety measures with a fire load of over 4,000 MJ per sqm. The building is under 24-hour surveillance. Dock doors have rubber shelters and hydraulic dock levellers while the dust-free flooring has a load capacity of 6 tons per sqm. The building is intended both for warehouse and light production purposes and the grounds of the centre include a large car park. The nearest bus stop is around 100m away and the distance to the town centre is 3 km. The centre is built next to the Oleśnica-Północ [Oleśnica-North] junction of the S8 expressway. Hillwood has been operating in Poland since 2014. It specialises in building and leasing out industrial properties including BTS warehouses. It is present in all the main warehousing locations in Poland including Warsaw, Central Poland, Wrocław and Upper Silesia. The company is also investing in other emerging locations including Częstochowa, Kutno and Świebodzin.
