MDC2 to build logistics park near Łódź
Industrial developer MDC2 has announced it is to build a 65,000 sq m park in Głuchów just south of Łódź. MDC2 Park Łódź South is to be completed in Q3 2022. The complex will comprise two buildings divided into modules. The development is to be submitted for BREEAM certification for a rating of 'Excellent'. Around 95 pct of the building materials to be used will be recyclable and the roofs will be suitable for the installation of solar panels. On-site there is also to be an outdoor gym and a relaxation area.
The park is to be built on a 14.3 ha investment site near Łódź, which is one of the key regional investment areas in Poland. Almost 672,000 people live in the immediate area while the city and its urban area include a population of over 1 million. The towns of Tuszyn and Głuchów, near which the site is located are both large wholesale centres that lie along national road nr. 91. The complex is well served by nearby roads and also benefits from a central location, which makes it ideal for companies that distribute goods across the entire country.
MDC2 Park Łódź South is to be built next to the A1 motorway, which is the main arterial road running from the north to the south of the country and it is also next to the E75 international transport route, which runs from Gdańsk to the Czech border. The site is also nearby national roads nr. 91 and nr. 12.
