MLP completes logistics centre for Wirthwein Polska
Wirthwein Polska has leased 11,200 sq m in the MLP Łódź logistics park. The completed building is to be handed over this month.
Last year, Wirthwein Polska leased over 5,600 sq m in the MLP Łódź logistics centre and this year the company decided to double its area. Around 10,700 sq m is to be warehouse and production space with the remaining area to constitute office and social space. Wirthwein Polska is a plastics producer and its clients come from various sectors including household appliances, the automotive industry, electrical engineering and sanitation fittings. The group has 22 factories across Europe, Asia and the US but the facility in Poland is its largest.
The company is to now occupy a total of 22,000 sq m in MLP Park Łódź as a result of this expansion and the company is now planning to hire more staff bringing their total number up to around 500.
MLP Park Łódź is located in the eastern part of the city in the Widzew district. It is situated around 4 km from the A1 motorway giving it easy access to the TriCity and 20 km from the A2 joining it to cities such as Berlin, Poznań and Warsaw. All the buildings in the park are to be certified as environmentally friendly under BREEAM, The park also benefits from easy access to public transportation. The centre is being built on a 16.5 ha site on a partially speculative basis. Eventually, it should reach a full build-out of 83,100 sq m.
