Shim-Pol leases warehouse space in SBU in Żerań
Polish distributor of measurement equipment Shim-Pol has become the first tenant in the DC2 building of Prologis Park Warsaw-Żerań. The new 11,000 sq m centre was built speculatively and Shim-Pol has taken up 1,068 sq m. The building has a height of 11m and is designed so that skylights may be fitted to provide 12.5 pct natural light. Movement sensors in the social rooms can be programmed to meet individual needs and the increased load bearing of the roof allows for the mounting of solar panels. The centre also benefits from a high number of loading docks while the offices can be altered to meet the individual needs of the tenant. Shim-Pol supplies hit-tech analytical equipment including broad spectrum chromatography devices and accessories, spectroscopes, optical equipment, mass spectrometers and bioanalyzers. Prologis Park Warsaw-Żerań comprises four buildings with a combined area of 55,000 sq m. It is in the north of Warsaw in the Białołęka district, 15 km from the centre of the city. It also lies around 0.5 km from the A2 motorway (S8 Warsaw bypass), which joins Central Poland with the west and with Berlin. The centre is also easily accessible via public transport with bus and tram stops nearby for six tram routes and numerous buses.
