SMW Poland  stays in SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków
Paper producer SWM Poland has prolonged its lease of 15,500 sq m of warehouse and production space in SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków. The tenant has been operating from the park since 2010 and uses the space for the production and storage of technologically-advanced plastic films, sticky tape, foams, nets, and linen fibre. The company also produces high-quality self-extinguishing paper in the park. SWM Poland is a subsidiary of US-based Schweitzer-Mauduit International, an engineering and production firm that specialises in producing paper and plastics. The company has been operating in Poland for the last twelve years. The business, together with its subsidiaries, operates on four continents and in over 100 countries. Worldwide it employs around 7,500 people. The company's only location in Poland is within SEGRO Logistics Park Stryków, which is a park with over 300,000 sq m of warehouse and production space and room for the construction of a further 100,000 sq m for the needs of SEGRO's tenants. The park is built on an 8 ha site located 8 km from the city limits of Łódź near the A2/E30 motorway around 3 km from the junction of the A2 with the A1/E75. Every new development in SEGRO is environmentally certified under BREEAM for a rating of 'Excellent'.
