Allegro to open distribution centre in Grodzisk Mazowiecki
Allegro is to take up 33,500 sq m of warehousing space and almost 2,800 sq m of offices in the A2 Warsaw Park logistics complex just southwest of Warsaw in the town of Grodzisk Mazowiecki. With the internal mezzanines, the tenant will have a total of 65,000 sq m of operational space. Allegro will use the centre developed by Panattoni for all its order logistics services including storage, packing, despatching and handling returns. The tenant will have hired a staff of 1,200 by the end of 2022. The centre is also to be equipped with an advanced warehouse management system, including modern conveyors and scanners. Twenty electric vehicle charging stations are to be installed and the centre is to have an enlarged car park with a bus bay. Outside the centre, bike shelters are also to be constructed. This year Allegro intends to launch a new service for the companies that use its platform to sell their goods. The service will include storage, packing, despatching of goods as well as the handling of returns and after-sales services. Allegro is an online retail platform that has been operating on the market for 21 years. Around 20 million people visit its site every month where it has around 125,000 goods on sale. Panattoni completed the construction of the A2 Warsaw Park centre in June last year. The complex, which is fully leased, includes 104,000 sq m of BREEAM-certified space.
