An additional warehouse in response to the growing number of deliveries during the pandemic
Due to the recent growth of interest in online shopping driven by the coronavirus pandemic, a leading logistics operator in Poland has decided to expand its warehouse footprint by leasing 15,000 sq m of temporary space in Prologis Park Piotrków Trybunalski I. Real estate advisory firm Savills assisted one of e-commerce leaders in Poland in the leasing process.
With the additional warehouse space, the tenant has successfully responded to the growing number of orders during the pandemic.
The client was advised during the search for a suitable location and negotiation of lease conditions by Aneta Kaszowicz-Pająk and Maciej Gierak from Savills, a provider of advisory services for warehouse and industrial tenants.
“The lease was executed for a shorter than standard term usually required by modern warehouse landlords. This was enabled by the flexible approach of Prologis. We are pleased to have been able to meet the requirements of our client with this type of lease. Other e-commerce companies can also find such solutions helpful in the current situation. Demand for short-term leasing solutions is clearly on the rise,” says Maciej Gierak, Business Development Manager, Industrial Agency, Savills.
Prologis Park Piotrków I is a modern distribution centre in Central Poland, close to the junction of the A1 motorway and E67 route. The complex has a total area of approximately 79,500 sq m.
