Chinese automotive supplier to enter 7R City Park Poznań
Chinese automotive supplier Ningbo Tuopu Group is to open a production plant in the 7R City Park Poznań complex. The 30,000 sqm factory, which is to be the company's first in Europe, will produce components for electric vehicles.
The location was chosen for its proximity to the company's European customers. Tuopu is a supplier to such automotive concerns as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, Chrysler, Ford, Geely and General Motors. The company is headquartered in Ningbo and it researches, develops and produces numerous automotive systems including those for vibration suppression, heat management and automated driving.
7R is to deliver a building suitable for production purposes, in which 12.5 pct of the indoor area is to be illuminated by natural light. As part of the project, a new road is also to be built to serve the logistic needs of the building. The new factory is to be certified under BREEAM with a rating of 'Very Good' and Goldbeck has been appointed as the general contractor. The design is by the Kwadrat studio. Work on preparing the site began at the end of February/ beginning of March and the building is scheduled for handover in the first quarter of 2022.
7R City Park Poznań is within the city's administrative limits and around 5 km from the centre. It is also just 4 km from the Krzesiny junction, where the A4 motorway connects with the S11 expressway. The park has easy access to public transportation and is near the Poznań-Franowo intermodal rail terminal.
