Construction work begins on Ziehl-Abegg factory in Prologis Park Łódź

Prologis has begun the construction of a factory for Ziehl-Abegg within the Prologis Park Łódź logistics park, The client is a German producer of ventilation systems as well as ventilation components and controls.  The handover of the completed production plant of 17,000 sq m is planned for June 1^st, 2023. In about five years' time, around 300 to 400 people are to be employed in the centre. The tenant is to take up space in building DC1, which has a clear height of 12m. The building will be certified under BREEAM for an expected rating of 'Excellent' and it will also be equipped with the latest systems produced by Ziehl-Abegg. The entire roof is to be prepared for the installation of solar panels. Destratifiers will be used to pull down hot air that collects near the ceiling. Up to 12.5 pct of the lighting is to be natural. The extra insulation in the walls and roof will limit the energy required for heating. The green areas are also to be managed and will include a playing field for team sports. Prologis Park Łódź is in the Widzew-Olechów district of Łódź 12 km from the city centre. It is also just 3 km from the A1 motorway, which connects the city to Katowice and Gdańsk and it is 21 km from the Stryków Junction where the A1 crosses the A2.
