DPD Polska leases space in City Point Targówek logistics park
Courier company DPD Polska has leased 7,000 sq m of cross-dock space in the City Point Targówek logistics park in Warsaw. The building is to be handed over to the tenant in the fourth quarter of the year. Centrum City Point Targówek is currently under construction and after the completion of the complex will have almost 100,000 sq m of logistics and warehousing space combined. The park is in the city’s Targówek district at ul. Matuszewska 14. Different module sizes are on offer within the park as well as modern office space. On completion, the building is to comply with BREEAM certification for a rating of ‘Excellent’, LEED for a rating of ‘Gold’ and also Well. Solar panels are to be mounted on the roofs to supply at least 10 pct of the park’s total power needs. The park is also to have charging stations for electric vehicles, bicycle shelters, a recreational area and an outdoor gym. The complex is being built with environmentally certified materials with zero or minimal volatile organic compounds. City Point Targówek is included in a portfolio of logistics assets purchased by a joint venture of Partners Group and Peakside Capital Advisors. As well as the Targówek centre the two companies are also to take over two other logistics parks in the Warsaw area: Logistics Point Raszyn and Logistics Point Piaseczno.
