First Warehouse Lease of Chinese Import Tycoon
Savills represented Nowa S.A. in the lease transaction of nearly 3,500 sq m of warehouse space in Distribution Park Sosnowiec, owned by Hines. The largest importer of Chinese and Indonesian products on the Polish market for the first time has decided to expand its logistic base in the form of a lease.
Nowa S.A. was founded in 1996. The company imports among others: decorative items (Christmas, spring and year-round), ceramics, glass, toys and small home appliances. Nowa S.A. supplies retail chains such as Carrefour, Auchan, Pepco, E.Leclerc, TXM, PSB-Mrówka, Intermarché, Bricomarché and Merkury Market.
The lease agreement signed by Nowa S.A. in Hines Distribution Park Sosnowiec includes warehouse space as well as office and social area. The new logistic space is located in the vicinity of the existing Nowa S.A. wholesale store in Sosnowiec. The importer owns also a warehouse in Piaseczno, near Warsaw.
"In the past Nowa S.A. only used its own storage facilities. Due to dynamic development of the company, the management board decided to expand logistic facilities in the form of a lease because of its flexibility and fast finalisation of the agreement. We were delighted to advise the leading importer from Asian market in the process of signing its first lease agreement" - said Daniel Kempa, Senior Consultant, Industrial Agency at Savills.
Distribution Park Sosnowiec consists of two warehouses totalling 47,100 sq m of space. The main advantage of the logistic park is an easy access to the S1 express road. Hines Global REIT is an owner of the facility and Hines Polska is a property manager. Other tenants of Distribution Park Sosnowiec include: ABC Data, Delta Plus, Eurocash and ThyssenKrupp.
