FM Logistic to serve Maxi Zoo from Głogów
Logistics operator FM Logistic is to start servicing the Maxi Zoo chain of pet stores from one of the buildings in the Panattoni Park Głogów complex. Company representatives from Panattoni and FM Logistic were present at the cornerstone laying ceremony as well as city authorities. The lease is for an area of 35,000 sq m. Fressnapf, the owner of the Maxi Zoo chain, operates almost 1,800 pet stores throughout Europe and intends to use the new facilities to improve its online sales. In 2023, the company is expecting to service up to 4 million orders placed by individual customers in both Poland and Germany. The building being constructed for FM Logistic will be the first in the Panattoni Park Głogów complex to have a planned area of 110,000 sq m. The park is 110 km from the border with Germany and a similar distance from the Czech Republic. The S3 expressway, which joins Głogów, Zielona Góra, and Szczecin and is also part of the main transport corridor of the region, is just 10 km away. The road also leads on to the A4 motorway to the south and the A2 motorway to the north. Panattoni is to submit the building for BREEAM certification for a rating of ‘Excellent’ and to this end is to utilise environmentally friendly systems to reduce CO2 emissions as well as water and energy usage. The developer is also to examine the acoustics, thermal comfort and daylight access of the office section. Overall, Panattoni has already delivered over 1.5 million sq m of space in the Lower Silesia region.
