ID Logistics leases 44,500 sq m in Zgorzelec
ID Logistics has leased 44,500 sq m in the Panattoni Park Zgorzelec close to Poland’s southern border with Germany. The tenant is to use the centre as an online distribution centre for one of its clients.
The developer, Panattoni, has already begun the construction work and the park is to eventually have a leasable area of 70,000 sq m with buildings of 45,000 sq m and 25,000 sq m. The complex will be suitable for tenants from many different industries, but will meet the needs of logistics operators in particular.
ID Logistics operates on five continents and in 18 countries including Poland. In this country, it manages 13 logistics centres.
The park is situated in an area set aside for investment purposes by the town just 4 km from the Jędrzychowice-Ludwigsdorf motorway border crossing. It is also next to the DK 30 and just under 1 km from the Zgorzelec junction on the A4 motorway, which is part of the third pan-European transport corridor that links Poland, Ukraine and Germany.
The development is to meet the highest standards for environmental protection to help counter climate change and to support the local community. Last year the developer launched its Go Earthwise with Panattoni policy for sustainable development and as a result all of its buildings are submitted for BREEAM certification to obtain ratings no lower than ‘Very Good’. For this centre, the developer has decided to apply for certification with a rating of ‘Excellent’.
