Jysk to enter Loogic Park Radomsko
Big box retailer of household goods Jysk is to open a warehouse in LOOGIC Park Radomsko (around 40 km north of Częstochowa). The 54,000 sq m building is to be the first to be built in the park and will comprise class A warehouse space with office and social space. The design is by RH+ Architekci. The BTS building is to have a clear height of 10m and meet the requirements of BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification. General contractor FB Antczak has been entrusted with the construction and the centre is to be handed over in the second half of 2021.
Jysk opened its first store in Aarhus in Denmark in 1979, originally under the name Jysk Sengetøjslager. In 1984, the company began its foreign expansion with the opening of a store in Germany (under the name of Dänisches Bettenlager). Now Jysk comprises 3,000 stores in 51 countries including in Asia (Vietnam, Dubai, Thailand and Kuwait). The chain has an annual turnover of around EUR 4.8 billion and employs around 26,500 people. The chain has been present in Poland since 2000 and annually 11.5 million shoppers in Poland visit 238 stores where 2,400 people are employed.
Eventually, LOOGIC Park Radomsko is to comprise eleven buildings with a combined 380,000 sq m gla. The park’s 80 ha site is near the A1 motorway as well as national roads DK 42 and DK 91.
