LPP leases 64,000 sq m in Panattoni Park Tricity South II
LPP has leased 64,000 sq m in Panattoni Park Tricity South II in the village of Będzieszyn near Gdańsk. The tenant will start operations in two connected buildings within the park from April 2022. The company is to use its centre in Panattoni Park Tricity South II for picking and packing operations as well as for handling returns. The centre is also intended to serve foreign markets. The buildings are to be adjusted to meet the needs of the tenant and the developer is to fit combi-docks that will serve both trucks and smaller delivery vehicles. The buildings will also have increased access to natural light, which is of particular importance for the comfort of workers employed in picking and packing. LPP owns the clothing brands Sinsay, Cropp, Reserved, House and Mohito and is the largest producer of clothing in the CEE region. The company is expanding its warehousing space due to rising internet sales, which in the second accountancy quarter of 2021/2022 rose by almost 30% year on year and now represents around 22% of the company’s revenues. Panattoni Park Tricity South II is not the first development in the Gdańsk area where LPP has leased space from the developer. In 2018 the company signed a lease for 30,000 sq m in Panattoni Park Gdańsk III. Panattoni Park Tricity South II is located not far from the A1 motorway and is also close to the S6 and S7 national roads. The site has easy access to a rail line which improves communication not only with Gdańsk but also with Warsaw, Bratyslava and Vienna. The centre also benefits from being near to the seaport in Gdańsk which handles goods from many countries including China, Singapore, the USA as well as a number of European states. Panattoni Park Tricity South II comprises two class A warehouse buildings with a combined area of 75,600 sq m of which 26,000 sq m has already been completed.
