MDC2 Park Gliwice nears completion
Over 57,000 sq m of modern warehouse space is to be constructed in the MDC² Park Gliwice in Upper Silesia. The park is being built speculatively and is to be certified under BREEAM New Construction for a rating of 'Excellent'.  The developer is aiming for the highest score yet achieved in Poland for a warehouse building under the environmental rating system. The park is to feature electric vehicle charging stations, roofing prepared for the installation of solar panelling and rainwater collection for use in the centre. Additionally, centre workers and visiting truck drivers will be able to make use of an outdoor relaxation area. The contract for the appointment of the general contractor has already been signed. MDC² Park Gliwice is to be built five km from the city centre next to the junction where the A1 and A4 motorways cross. Gliwice also has numerous connecting roads including the DTŚ central highway as well as others that make up the main communication corridors of the region. MDC² is a small company of 20 people and, currently, its portfolio comprises two projects, one of which is MDC² Park Gliwice with the other being MDC² Park Łódź South, which will have an area of 80,000 sq m and is to be completed in 2023.
