Media Expert opens 160,000 sqm centre in Łódź

Two warehouse buildings with a combined area of 160,000 sqm have been opened by Media Expert in the Central European Logistics Hub in Łódź. They make up part of a larger complex comprising three buildings with a total area of 232,000 sq m, which forms the main distribution centre for Media Expert in Poland. The buildings are connected with a conveyor belt that allows goods to be easily moved between the three buildings. Eventually around 1,000 people are to be employed in the centre. Media Expert is a national chain of electronics stores and its warehousing facilities are situated on ul. Jędrzejowska in Łódź next to the A1 motorway, around 30 km from the Łódź Północ junction where it crosses with the A2. Media Expert also has other warehouse buildings in the Łódź region and altogether it leases over 270,000 sq m from Panattoni while a further 35,000 sq m is under construction. The Central European Logistics Hub built by Panattoni comprises over 720,000 sq m of warehouse and production space. Other companies that have located their warehousing or production to the Hub include BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego and SMYK.
