New factory for Cornaglia Group in Bielsko-Biała
Construction work is nearing completion on a production facility for Italian automotive supplier Cornaglia Group. The 33,200 sq m BTS building is being built within the Panattoni Park Bielsko-Biała IV logistics park and production is planned to start in January 2022. Before the end of this month, a highly specialised modern production line is to be installed. With the opening of the factory, Cornaglia is to move its current operations in Poland to the new location. The new factory with its latest generation machinery should allow the company to increase its production capacity and to win new customers throughout Europe. Panattoni dug out a large area to a depth of 7m to prepare for the foundations under the company’s metal presses. The developer is also to assist in the transport and installation of machinery weighing over 100 tons, which is to arrive in Poland from Italy. The machinery will be able to handle both aluminium and steel.
Cornaglia Group is a leading supplier of technology to the automotive industry. The company is present in Italy, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Canada and India. The Panattoni Park Bielsko-Biała IV logistics park, where the factory is under construction, is directly next to a future stretch of the S1 expressway, which is under construction between Mysłowice and Bielsko-Biała. Eventually, it will form part of a direct international connection between Gdańsk and Vienna. The road is also to eventually connect to the A1 motorway, which runs to the Slovakian border at the town of Zwardoń.
