Over 10,000 sq m for Solaris in Bolechowo

Panattoni has begun constructing a warehouse building with an area of 10,100 sq m for bus and trolleybus producer Solaris Bus & Coach in the village of Bolechowo near Poznań. The BTS development will be just 150 m from the company's existing factory. Both buildings are to be joined by road and the completion is scheduled for the end of the Q1/ beginning of Q2 next year. The building is to be used to store vehicle assembly parts and the development is to play a key role in the supply chain of vehicle parts and subassemblies for the production of buses and trolleybuses. Around 2,350 sq m will be used as office social space and will include locker rooms, a dining room and an area for drivers. The area is to have the proper acoustics as well as access to fresh air and natural light. The developer is to install a complex air conditioning system with advanced smoke detectors. Additionally, a multi-level sprinkler system is to be installed, Hydrants and lighting will be spaced out to match the layout of the shelving and the roof will be reinforced to bear the weight of solar panel installations. The building is to be BREEAM certified. The development is around 8 km from Poznań and 20 km from the centre of the city. The A2 motorway is just 25 km from the location and runs to such cities as Berlin, Łódź and Warsaw. Additionally, the S11 expressway, which will eventually join Katowice to the south and Koszalin on the Baltic coast, is just over 20 km from the site.
