Over 215,000 sq m in Panattoni Park Katowice Airport
Panattoni has purchased almost 45 ha of land for the construction of Panattoni Park Katowice Airport. The park has a planned area of 216,270 sq m and is to be built in an investment of EUR 161 million (around PLN 770 million). Construction work is to start at the beginning of 2023. The new development will create several thousand jobs in the region.
Panattoni Park Katowice Airport is to be built next to the junction of the A1 motorway, which runs from the north to the south of the country, with the S1 expressway which leads on to Slovakia. The park benefits from being just 3 km from Katowice International Airport as well as being around 27 km from the centre of the city. The space has been designed to meet the needs of a diverse range of uses including warehousing, logistics, e-commerce and light production.
Altogether, the space Panattoni has built and has under construction in the Silesia region comes to over 2 million sq m. Lately, the developer has completed the construction of a 40,000 sq m logistics and printing centre for Midocean within the Panattoni Park Ruda Śląska III park. Panattoni has been particularly active in the construction of BTS buildings in the region. Altogether, they account for around 700,000 sq m.
