Over 80,000 sq m for Westwing in P3 Poznań
Online shopping club Westwing, which offers furniture and home accessories, has leased 82,500 sq m of BTS warehouse and office space in the P3 Poznań logistics park, with the option to extend by a further 27,000 sq m. The company is to use the centre to supply furniture to eleven European countries where it has its operations. This will be the company's largest distribution centre so far and it is also intended to be the company's Centre of Excellence for service and furniture exports across Europe.
Developer P3 is to deliver 79,000 sq m of warehouse space to the company with the remaining 3,500 sq m intended to serve as offices and social space. The centre will include the company's returns as well as its quality control departments. Westwing will also have access to 288 spaces in the car park for its staff. At first, over 200 people are to be employed but this number could, in the future, rise to around 1,000. The building is to have a ceiling height of 12m (net), reinforced flooring and heightened fire safety. The façade of the building is to be insulated with polyurethane panelling and solar panels are to be mounted on the reinforced roof. The building is to be certified under BREEAM for a rating of 'Excellent'.
P3 Poznań is one of the largest logistics parks of the Wielkopolska region and it lies 16 km from the centre of Poznań, and 2.4 km from the S11 expressway.
