Panattoni building 32,000 sq m in Robakowo

Developer Panattoni is constructing a 32,000 sq m logistics centre near Poznań for an undisclosed international logistics operator with operations in 200 countries. The building will be a BTS design that is eventually to be owned by the ordering party. The work began in May. The client should be granted early access to the property at the end of 2022/beginning of 2023, at which time the client will introduce its own modifications to the building. Over 800 jobs are to be created at the new centre. As part of the project, Panattoni is to prepare an area of 23,000 sq m for automated parcel sorting. The flooring of the building is to have an increased load-bearing capacity as well as above-standard insulation. Heat pumps are to be used for heating the building, which is also to be powered by a 900 kWp solar energy installation. The developer is also to employ solutions to limit the use of water including using rainwater for the watering of the green areas on the site. The developer is to apply for a BREEAM rating of 'Outstanding' for the building. The building is being constructed close to the S11 expressway and has easy access to the A2 motorway, which links the site with Warsaw, Łódź, Poznań and Berlin. The centre is also no more than 20 km from the centre of Poznań.
