Panattoni completes 30,000 sqm project in Łódź
Panattoni has completed the development of its Panattoni Appliance Park project in a joint venture with DH Capital. The 30,000 sqm of warehousing space has been built within the Central European Logistics Hub in Łódź in an investment of around EUR 18 mln.
The centre has been developed exclusively for suppliers of the BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego dishwasher factory. The 58,500 sqm manufacturing plant located nearby is the largest manufacturing plant of its type in Europe and was completed by Panattoni in September 2019. To date, 90 pct of the space at Panattoni Appliance Park has been taken up by component manufacturers and suppliers for the appliances made at the plant.
DH Capital invests in commercial property as well as industrial facilities for light manufacturing and supply chain management. It has a portfolio that includes BTS projects, business parks, and urban logistics centres. The companies activities include private equity investments and joint investment projects as well as asset management.
At present, the construction of the Central European Logistics Hub is nearing the halfway mark with 370,000 sqm having already been completed and a further 40,000 sqm now under development. Companies that have already leased space in the park include BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego, Media Expert and Smyk. The development of the Hub is a major driving force behind the New Industrial District of Łódź, where around 7,000 new jobs could eventually be created. The Panattoni Central European Logistics Hub is being developed by Panattoni as Europe’s largest logistics complex and eventually it should have a useable area of 600,000 sqm. The site is next to the A1 motorway, which is the only highway running from north to south in Poland and the centre lies 30 km from the Łódź Północ junction, where the A1 and A2 motorways intersect
