Panattoni completes Kalisz factory
The developer Panattoni has completed construction work on a 40,000 sq m factory in Kalisz for Leviat, a global supplier of anchorings and fastenings for the construction industry. The new plant is to produce mounting, transport and reinforcement assemblies. The new factory has been built just 5 km from the company's previous plant in the town of Nowe
Skalmierzyce. Because the two plants are so close together the 350 people employed in the former factory should all be able to work in the new location. With this development, Lewiat is increasing its production capacity and will be able to take advantage of the latest technology and equipment.
The plant's production hall is 36,500 sq m while the social and office section takes up 3,500 sqm. The factory is to be certified under BREEAM. This is not Panattoni's only development in Kalisz. In April this year, the company delivered 11,000 sqm of class A warehouse space in the first stage of its Panattoni Park Kalisz project. Eventually, the park will have an area of 35,000 sqm comprising small business units with a minimum size of 1,380 sq m. This space is suitable for both logistics and production purposes. On completion of the park, Panattoni will have developed a total of over 1.1 million sq m in the Wielkopolska region.
