Panattoni completes Phoenix factory
Industrial developer Panattoni has completed the construction of a 15,000 sq m BTS industrial plant for Phoenix Contact E Mobility, a producer of electric vehicle charging systems. The new factory has been built within the Rzeszów-Dworzysko Science and Technology park.
The building includes 14,000 sq m of industrial and warehouse space as well as 1,000 sq m of offices. Construction work took five months to complete and eventually the factory is to employ over 250 people. As part of Panattoni's environmental policy, a BREEAM certificate is to be applied for and a rating of 'Very Good' should eventually be awarded.
The dr. Grażyna Gęsicka Rzeszów-Dworzysko technology park has been built on land provided by the Rzeszów local authorities. The new building is next to the S 19 expressway, which makes up part of the Via Carpathia, a road that will eventually connect Klaipėda in Lithuania with Thessaloniki in Greece. It is also next to the A4 motorway, which runs between Germany and Ukraine. Rzeszów airport is just a 15-minute drive from the centre.
The Phoenix Contact group operates in 100 countries and employs around 18,000 people worldwide. Its E-mobility division specialises in producing charging stations for electric vehicles.
