Panattoni starts building Park Tricity East III
Panattoni has announced that it is beginning construction work on Panattoni Park Tricity East III. The warehouse and logistics centre, which is to be built in one phase, will comprise a single building with a total area of 32,886 sqm. Already, two tenants have leased a combined area of more than 26,000 sqm. Greenyard Logistics Poland, is an importer of fruit, vegetables, meat and fish and has signed a lease of 11,824 sqm, and logistics services provider Omega Pilzno has leased 14,500 sqm. The project is expected to be completed in Q1 2021, but both tenants are to be given early access to the site this year in October.
The space leased by Greenyard is to include a 9,571 sqm deep freeze unit with a technologically advanced fast freeze chamber, while the temperature of the front room is to be kept at between 0-4°c. Additionally, Omega Pilzno is to operate a high bay warehouse in the building and will have a specialised dock for handling heavy goods.
“The upcoming Panattoni Park Tricity East is just 4 km from the Port of Gdańsk and the Deepwater Container Terminal, which handled more than 2 million TEU containers in 2019 – more than any other centre in the Baltic region.
Panattoni's new centre is under construction next to a refinery, as well as the S7 expressway – which on completion will connect Gdańsk with Warsaw and Kraków. It is also located 4 km from the city centre and is only 15 km from the airport. Panattoni intends for the centre to be certified as an environmentally sustainable development and is to apply for BREEAM certification for which it is aiming for a rating of 'Very Good'.
