Panattoni starts construction in Kalisz

Industrial developer Panattoni has begun construction work on Panattoni Park Kalisz, which is to be the first-class A warehouse centre in the second-largest city in the region. Work started on ul. Inwestorska in the southwestern part of Kalisz. Eventually, it will comprise two buildings with an area of 35,000 sq m and the space is to be divided into small business units, the smallest of which will be 1,388 sq m. Already logistics operators are to start operating from the park in April 2021. The complex is being built near a BTS centre developed by Panattoni for a German producer of factory machinery components. Work on the Kalisz centre should be completed in the third quarter of 2021. The complex is only 6 km from the centre of the city near national road nr 25 and 7 km from national road nr 12, which runs to the border with Germany and also to the border with Ukraine. The city bypass is just 2.5 km away and the park is less than an hour's drive to the A2 motorway, which joins Poznań with Łódź and Warsaw with Berlin. With its ready access to labour and good communication links with Poznań, Łódź and Warsaw, the developer believes that Kalisz could become an alternative to the region's administrative capital of Poznań.
