Panattoni to build park in Żary
With around 15,000 sq m of class A warehouse space, the Panattoni Park Żary complex is to be constructed near the border with Germany. Panattoni has purchased a site near the E36, which joins Berlin with the Lubuskie region and has already secured its first tenant, which is to occupy 8,000 sq m.
The building is to be modified to meet the operational requirements of the tenant, which is an international producer of polyurethane foam. The tenant is to use the space within the park to process the foam so that it meets the needs of the furniture industry. The company is relocating its current operations from another location to the new park. The development is to be submitted for environmental certification under BREEAM for a rating level of 'Excellent'. The new tenant should be occupying the new space from the second quarter of 2023.
Panattoni Park Żary is being built just a 30-minute drive from the German border and around two hours from the border with the Czech Republic. The development is in the special investment area of the Żary district. In 2013, Panattoni delivered 10,800 sq m of warehouse and production space in Żary for a company involved in the servicing of electronic equipment. Moreover, the developer has invested in other regions of Western Poland including in the towns and cities of Zielona Góra, Grodzisk Wielkopolski, Świebodzin, Bolesławiec, Iłowa, and Sulechów. It has also invested in the northwest in Szczecin and Stargard.
