Panattoni to build urban logistics centre in Warsaw’s Targówek
Panattoni is building the 18,000 sq m City Logistics Warsaw VI urban logistics centre on ul. Księżnej Anny in the Targówek Fabryczny area of Warsaw. The land has already been purchased. City Logistics Warsaw VI will be the eighth urban development by Panattoni in the city. Around the capital, the developer has warehouse assets with a combined area of 150,000 sq m. The company also recently announced that it is to be developing the City Logistics Warsaw IV centre in the city’s Annopol area, which is to comprise two buildings with a combined area of around 40,000 sq m. Last September, Panattoni began construction work on City Logistics Warsaw V in Warsaw’s Rembertów district. This centre comprises a building divided into small business units with a total area of 11,000 sq m. Panattoni is also developing similar urban centres in Łódź, Poznań, Katowice, Wrocław and Gdańsk. City Logistics Warsaw VI is to be built near bus and tram stops as well as near the Szwedzka metro station and the Dworzec Wschodni railway station. Being close to the very centre of the city, the centre will be ideal for the distribution of both parcels and fresh produce. The centre is also suitable for companies serving the Warsaw area that also make use of international supply chains, since the site is near both the A2 motorway (Warsaw-Poznań-Berlin) and the S8 expressway (Warsaw-Wrocław-Prague).
