Panattoni to complete Action logistics centre

Panattoni is to complete the construction of a 60,800 sqm BTS centre for discount retailer Action. The centre is to be used to store many different types of goods including decorations, office equipment, home and interior goods and fashion and sportswear. As well as the warehousing space the centre is also to include 2,500 sqm of office and social space. Panattoni has also prepared for the logistics operations a concrete mezzanine area and an ADR picking and packing area for dangerous goods. The ecological features of the building include solar panels, solar collectors for heating water and electric vehicle charging stations. The building is to be certified under BREEAM with a rating of 'Excellent'. Action is an international chain of non-grocery stores. Currently, it has over 130 stores in Poland and further openings are planned, with three more stores to soon open in large cities. Panattoni has now built over 3 million sq m of BTS space and further projects are under construction. Recently the company completed 40,000 sq m for Leviat in Kalisz, as well as a building for Animex Foods in Ostróda and a factory in Rzeszów for US firm BorgWarner.
