Savills advises Maco in the lease of over 10,000 sq m in Panattoni Park Gliwice III
Mayer & Co Beschläge (MACO), Austrian manufacturer of turn and tilt hardware for windows, expands operations in Poland and moves one of its plants from Austria to Upper Silesia. Almost 150 people will be employed in its new warehouse located in Panattoni Park Gliwice III. This will be the second location of MACO in Poland. Tenant was represented by Savills in the lease transaction of more than 10 000 sq m. Mayer & Co Beschläge (MACO) is a manufacturer of solutions for windows and doors. In Panattoni Park Gliwice III, MACO has leased 9,500 sq m of industrial and warehouse space and 550 sq m of office space. The tenant will enter the park in January 2018. The MACO logistic centre is situated in the Katowice Special Economic Zone in the Gliwice subzone. "Relocation of such a large part of MACOs’ production from Austria to Poland proves that the producer perceives our market as a good place for further development. The client made the choice appreciating the location of the park and the quality of the facility. The flexibility and open approach of the developer to make the necessary modifications as well as his broad experience in adjusting the space to the standard required by tenants were also very important to MACO" – said Daniel Kempa, Senior Consultant, Industrial Agency, Savills. Within over 10,000 sq m of the­­­­ area leased by MACO, approx. 6,000 sq m will be dedicated for production. The space has been tailored specifically to the needs of the tenant in order to provide optimum conditions for manufacturing and assembling windows and other company's products. “We are very happy that MACO decided to move its plant to our park" – says Aurelia Rachtan, Leasing Manager, Panattoni Europe. Panattoni Park Gliwice III is a warehouse and industrial park located in Upper Silesia, in the immediate vicinity of the intersection of A1 and A4 motorways. The park consists of three  buildings with total area of 75,000 sq m.
