Work starts on second Park Tychy building
European Logistics Investment (ELI) has started the construction work on the Park Tychy II warehouse building, which will have an area of 43,000 sq m. This is the second building to be developed as part of the Park Tychy project by the platform together with development company Panattoni.
The building, which is to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021, has been almost fully leased to two tenants. One is automotive parts manufacturer U-Form (a subsidiary of Tiberina Group), which has leased more than 23,100 sq m. The other tenant is Nodium Group, the owner of sport.shop.pl – one of the biggest online sport stores in Poland – as well as online children’s goods store nodik.pl. The tenant has decided to consolidate its smaller centres into this new 15,400 sq m location, and by increasing the area it leases it is also planning to accommodate the growth of its online platforms.
The building is to be BREEAM certified with an expected rating of ‘Excellent’ and will be equipped with systems for reducing the use of water, energy and heat. Those employed in the park will also have access to green relaxation zones, bicycle facilities and electric car charging stations.
The entire complex will eventually comprise two buildings with a total area of 100,000 sq m gla. The first building, with 58,000 sq m of warehouse space and 2,500 sq m of office space, has been fully leased for the long term.
