BayWa r.e. takes 14,000 sqm in GLP Kraków Airport Logistics Centre
Solar panel equipment supplier BayWa r.e. has leased additional space in the GLP Kraków Airport Logistics Centre and now occupies 14,000 sq m in the centre. BayWa r.e. is a global leader in the renewable energy market as well as a distributor and supplier for the electricity market. The company has offices in 29 countries with revenues totalling almost EUR 3.6 billion. It is part of the BayWa Group based in Munich, which was founded in 1923 and is now involved in trade, logistics and services for the agricultural and energy sectors as well as for the construction materials market. The group has revenues of EUR 19.8 billion. Energy Infrastructure Partners, a leader in the power distribution investment market with over EUR 2.6 million of global investment funds under management, is also a major shareholder in BayWa r.e.
GLP Kraków Airport Logistics Centre will eventually comprise 174,000 sq m of logistics and light production space. The park is almost fully leased with 2,500 sq m still available. The centre is located in the village of Modlniczka near Kraków just 300m from a junction on the S52 expressway, which forms the city's north-western bypass. The park is also just 1 km outside the city limits and four kilometres from Kraków International Airport in Balice.
