Panattoni to enlarge Wrocław Campus
Panattoni is planning to enlarge the Wrocław Campus warehouse park by 160,000 sq m. The company has purchased an additional 35 ha and intends to start construction on two new buildings in the second quarter of 2022.
On completion of the work, the park will have an area of 350,000 sq m and will comprise six buildings on an area of 75 ha. The park benefits from being near the S8 expressway and the Wrocław Południe junction on the A4 motorway. As a result, the centre has easy access to both the German and Czech borders as well as to the rest of the country. Since Wrocław has become a centre of e-commerce the surroundings of the park are also of importance. The centre is located near the Amazon centre and Biskupice Podgórne just outside of the city, where Korean conglomerate LG operates the largest factory in Europe producing batteries lithium-ion ion batteries for the electric vehicle industry.
The current tenants in Wrocław Campus include ID Logistics, which provides logistics services for Amazon, Korean logistics operator Unico and car cable producer Leoni.
Panattoni is planning to apply for BREEAM environmental certification with a rating of “Excellent”. Among the steps taken for this, the roofs are to be reinforced for solar panelling and the green areas are to be carefully managed.
